About Us

Spay Memphis (formerly Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services) is a 501(c)3 non-profit clinic dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and high euthanasia rates by offering high-quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries to the public. The clinic has operated since 2005 and has performed over 53,000 spay and neuter procedures and counting. In addition, the clinic offers age-appropriate pet vaccinations and microchipping, which are done at time of surgery.

    Mission

To prevent pet overpopulation through high-quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries

    Vision

Memphis will be the leader in animal welfare and the ideal pet-friendly community where euthanasia is not necessary because there is a loving and responsible home for every pet.

    Impact

Since 2005, Spay Memphis has helped more than 53,000 animals receive affordable spay and neuter surgery, which has reduced the number of puppies and kittens born in the Mid-South by the millions!

In 2018 alone, Spay Memphis was able to spay/neuter 6,040 pets!

    2018 Spay/Neuter Statistics
    Dogs - 1,949
    Domestic Cats - 2,731
    Feral Cats - 1,273
    Rabbits - 70
    Potbellied Pigs - 17
    Total - 6,040

One of our main goals is to remove the financial burden of spay/neuter so that all pet owners can make the decision to have their pet fixed.  We work tirelessly to secure individual donor and grant funding to help clients who need additional financial assistance beyond our already discounted prices. (Click here to learn more about our discounted surgery/grant opportunities.)

We are grateful to our dedicated Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, grant partners, community and rescue partners, and donors. If you love animals, there is a way for you to help. Contact us if you would like more information on how you can make a difference.
