Grant/Donor Funding

All grant/donor funding is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Grant funding is for individually owned pets only. This means grants cannot be used by rescue groups, shelters, breeders, etc. The availability of grants/donor funding may change at any time. No grant/donor funding is guaranteed until the appointment is confirmed. Grant funding must be requested when making the appointment. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by clicking here. Grant funding cannot be used for feral cats, unless otherwise specified. Grant funds cannot be combined – only one grant fund can be used per pet. Spay Memphis will not approve grant funding for pets purchased from breeders, pet stores, or designer breed pets.

Spay Memphis reserves the right to limit the number of pets per pet owner/household that can use grant funding, especially when grant funding is low. Grant funds are limited & should only be used if you have a genuine need & our already discounted prices are beyond your financial ability.

♦ The Pit Fix: Pitbull and Pitbull Mix Breed Dogs

Thanks to a generous grant from the Margarette J. Sather Animal Welfare Fund, we are able to once again offer lower-cost spay and neuter surgeries for pitbull and pitbull mix breed dogs. With this funding, the cost is only $40! To qualify, your dog must be listed as a pitbull or pitbull mix.

♦ Pet Owners who Live in Shelby County

Thanks to a generous grant from PetSmart Charities, we are able to offer pet owners in Shelby County a special discounted pricing for their pets! This grant provides the spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies vaccine, and DAPP (dogs) / FVRCCP (cats) vaccine for only $60 for dogs and $40 for cats. This is for dogs and cats only and cannot be combined with any other grant funding. If your pet is already microchipped or up to date on vaccines, please let us know when scheduling that your pet does not need this service, however, it does not change the pricing when using this grant. Appointments are required and you must choose to add the grant funding when scheduling. Pet owner’s address must be in Shelby County. This funding can only be used during a spay/neuter appointment.

♦ Senior Citizen Pet Owners (65 years +)

Thanks to a generous donation from Mrs. Jo Croner, we are able to offer senior citizen pet owners discounted spay/neuter surgery costs. With proof of age, the cost for a dog spay/neuter is $40 and cat spay/neuter is $20. Proof of age is required, either by uploading when scheduling or showing the morning of your pet’s appointment.

♦ Pet Owners Receiving Government Assistance

Can only be used for dogs and domestic cats. Proof of government assistance is required on appointment date, if not uploaded when scheduling.
